All right, so I'm off to Mexico...tomorrow. Meaning my last post was a lie and that my shift key needs to get better soon. As you can see, I enjoy capitalizing my letters and when my shift key does not work, I'm quite depressed.
I have a lot to pack up...ugh. There's only one good thing from all this. I get to get away from all the mess I created down here and make some new messes in Mexico. Exciting, right?
Not really, because all these problems will stalk me over there. At least I have my DSi, laptop, and sketchbook. I'm good to go!

1. I will not admit to biting my nails. I also have random habits like the 'eraser shaving brush' reflex, which happens to writers who write with pencils. We tend to brush off eraser shavings that aren't there.

AND IT BEGINS. This opening verse is using a car crash as a metaphor. She's talking about love's woes and suckiness, and how she's driving away from it. The car crash is symbolizing a failed relationship, and how you need to move on away from it.
"Desperately close to a coffin of hope, I'd cheat destiny just to be near you" is referring to the fact that in any relationship, you always have the hope that your crush/lover/whatever will love you back, and that you would do anything for that to happen.

This verse should be pretty self-explanatory.

*cheering noise* Today we'll be dissecting the lyrics that appear in the opening sequence of the popular JRPG 'The World Ends With You' made by Square Enix.
Most of you are probably like 'WTF, I thought she got over that stupid game!' Nope. You're wrong. I can't get over such an amazing soundtrack. xD
Here are the lyrics, my notes will be in bold. Most of my meanings are going to be referring to the actual game itself, so if you haven't played this awesome game and are planning to, please visit another post on this blog. (For this line, I'm guessing this is a reference to where the Game is taking place. the Reaper's Game takes place in another frequency, which can explain the waves in this sentence.)

(For this, it's most likely referring to Neku Sakuraba, our main character. He got killed in the beginning and is stuck in the Game with only Pins to fight with. (This verse makes the most sense. It's mostly alluding to Mr. Hanekoma, the Producer, who earns Neku's respect. For 'take a bow to the moon' it's referring to Sho Minamimoto who says that 'his voice will shake the moon'. Yeah.)

(This is actually my favorite verse in the entire song due to the music. The first two lines are talking about Konishi, because her kanji literally translates into: Void, West, fill, queen. Which goes with hairspay queens & and the west. The line 'they once had a dream' belongs to Rhyme because her entry fee was her dreams. 'Bells of society in the shells of their unity' is for Shiki and Eri, because Shiki takes on Eri's appearance for the Game. 'Cornet'nspinet' I'm not so sure about. 'The sound flows, follows till they're home' probably alludes to Kitaniji, due to his musical references during the cutscene before his boss battle. 'Dragged by the power of the dreams' pretty much sums up the destiny of Neku & Co because they were forced into the Game due to a bet made by Kitaniji and Joshua.)

That name had been given to me. It wasn’t the best. It was pretty cliché actually.

I hated my name.

It was stupid, shallow, and out dated.

No one named their children after angels and stars anymore. No, they decided to take a leap into a new frontier and make up their own names.

I wanted to make a name for myself, something that would let me break out of the mold I had been built in. I wanted freedom.

I needed to taste it. It seemed to close sometimes, but as soon as I made a move towards it, it would be snatched from my sight. Like a child with a candy bar. You offer them the confection and they stare at you, their eyes wide with delight.

Only for you to tear that wrapper off and shove it into your mouth, and say “just kidding!” and walk away.

That poor child would then burst into tears and run to her/his mother.

Do you know how that feels? No, I guess not.

You’re finally a rock star. You scream perfection; just watching you walk has made me swoon. You have the look, the sound, and you have the girl whose heart you broke under your belt.

Wait, haha. That girl was me.

You know, sometimes I really piss myself off. I hate the way I buy magazines with your face on the cover, flipping through every page, sighing wistfully like another lovesick teen.
